Did you grow up in New Zealand and use English in your home, and do you enjoy meeting and talking with others? If so, you would be welcome to join this information session to learn more about the opportunity to volunteer with “Let’s Talk to Locals”! ‘Let’s Talk to locals’ provides a wonderful chance to meet students from other places and make a difference in the lives of those who use English as an additional language (EAL). Volunteers are asked to commit one hour each week to talking (face-to-face or via Zoom) with others about a range of provided topics. Volunteers can apply for Co-Curricular Recognition for their involvement and are needed for Summer School and/or Semester 1. If you are interested in learning more about what’s involved in being a volunteer, book into the session!
