Note: This writing program encompasses four workshops. See below. Are you struggling to write for your research degree? This writing program focuses on the writing process seen from the perspective of the writer’s voice. We’ll work on different ‘threads’ or elements, namely 1) “Silence in writing” (fluency), 2) “Noise in writing” (accuracy), and 3) “Balance” (reconnecting with your voice). Workshop 4) is focused on applying these ideas to your own writing. You will have the opportunity to understand writing expectations better, consider cultural contrasts, reflect on your strengths, and experiment practical ways to develop your academic writing without losing your own voice. Dates: *1) Friday 9 May 2) Friday 16 May, 3) Friday 23 May, and 4) Friday 30 May
Time: 12pm to 2pm. Place: KEIC, Level 4, Room 420, City Campus. To be sure of having a place at the workshop, please RSVP! Please contact Ana Maria Benton at a.benton@auckland.ac.nz if you have a question.
